To foster training and education in Pharmaceutical Medicine.

In order to live this mission, the Council for Education in Pharmaceutical Medicine (CEPM), an advisory and operative working party within the International Federation of Associations of Pharmaceutical Physicians, strives to attain the following goals:

1. To promote training and education in Pharmaceutical Medicine by assisting national member associations to set up appropriate programmes, providing a global perspective of needs, developments and opportunities in this discipline.

2. To support the development of continuing medical education/continuing professional (CME/CPD) development activities in Pharmaceutical Medicine.

3. To contribute to the harmonisation of educational programmes in Pharmaceutical Medicine among countries.

4.  To facilitate mutual recognition of equivalent educational degrees and CME/CPD status between countries.

5. By doing all of the above, contributing through IFAPP to promote the recognition of Pharmaceutical Medicine as a distinct specialty grounded in a body of knowledge, skills and attitudes acquired through education, training and practice.
